Rockies take first series at Coors, look forward to Mets…

The Rox I’m sure are enjoying the day after their 2 games to 1 series win over the Padres. The Rockies outscored the Padres 15-7 in the series, including a 7-0 score in the home opener.

Beginning tomorrow the competition get’s a little tougher, at least on paper anyway, with the Mets (2-4) coming to Coors Field. This will be the Mets first road series of the new season. The Rox were 3-4 overall last season against the Mets including a 2 games to 1 series win at Coors Field, outscoring them just barely 16-13. Looking at the pitching matchups for this series the Rockies should take 2 of 3 in this series. The good news is they will not have to face Johan Santana this time around.
