Rockies blank Snakes…

Jorge DeLaRosaPossibly De La Rosa’s best game of the season came last night as the Rockies jumped out to an early lead in the second inning on a solo shot by Ian Stewart. De La Rosa struck out 6 in his 8 innings, only giving up 4 hits. Chris Iannetta went 2 for 2 with an RBI on a sacrifice fly. Troy Tulowitzki went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored. The D’backs left 7 on base and have now lost their 3rd game in a row, 9 of their last 11. With last night’s win the Rockies are now 22-12 overall at home on fireworks nights and have a good chance to extend it to 23-12 tonight, despite an overall record of 7-10 on the 4th of July.

STAT OF THE NIGHT – The D’backs commited 3 errors in last nights game giving them a league leading 74 on the season.
