D’backs(31-48) @ Rockies(41-37) Preview…

The Rockies finish their recent roadtrip 5-4 and now face the D’backs who have lost 8 of their last 10. On paper the Rockies should sweep this series, but they can’t afford to go into this series thinking it’s gonna be an easy task. De La Rosa will need early run support like in his last start against Oakland to be most effective. Should the Rockies win the first game of this series with De La Rosa and with the top of the order going in games 2 and 3 in Cook and Jimenez, the Rockies will have the advantage and could complete a sweep of the D’backs. The Rockies coming into the 2009 season  had an overall record of 79-208 and last season were 3-15 overall, 2-7 at home. The D’backs only have two batters in double figures in homeruns in Justin Upton (14) and Mark Reynolds (22), who also lead the team in RBIs.
