Who knew that after a horrible April and most of May that the Rockies would currently be the hottest team in baseball with a 7 game win streak and the chance to make it 8 this afternoon with a sweep of the Brewers? Jorge De La Rosa gets his second win on the season and Barmes and Hawpe paced the offense for the Rockies.
This has been an outstanding roadtrip and the Rockies can finish it no worse than 7-4, but let’s hope for 8-3. The Rockies are now .500 on the road and despite their current win streak are still getting little respect, if any from the national media. Of course alot of that has to do with the draft taking place this week, the Red Sox and Yankees series also and the fact that nothing is ever covered about the NL West unless it has to do with Manny and the Dodgers. Oh and possibly that the Rockies are still 12 games behind the division leading Dodgers, and maybe throw in a little East Coast bias.
The Rockies go for the sweep this afternoon with Aaron Cook (4-3) going against Yovani Gallardo (6-2).
