Roster moves…
Troy Renck of the Denver Post reports this afternoon a few players who have been reassigned to Rockies minor league camp. The most notable being Jason Hirsh. Eric Young Jr was also optioned to the minors, but I would expect we’ll probably see him at Coors Field at some point this season. For the rest of the list of optioned players click here.
From the “Another One Bites the Dust” files. The Tucson Citizen newspaper will too follow the path of our beloved Rocky Mountain News in closing. After 138 years the Tucson Citizen’s last day will be this Saturday March 21st. They weren’t the level of the Rocky Mountain News, but to their credit they did a pretty fair job of covering the Rockies during spring training.
The Rockies are currently leading the D’backs 5-3 in the 6th inning at Tucson Electric Park.
